Mehroni comes under the Lalitpur district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Mehroni voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 20 and the results was declared on March 10.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2017, there were 4,15,004 registered voters for Mehroni assembly seat, out of which 2,15,893 were male and 1,99,111 were female voters. 1.0% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.
In 2017, 13 candidates were competing for Mehroni assembly constituency seat. Mehroni was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Manohar Lal comfortably winning the election defeating Bahujan Samaj Party's Feran Lal by a huge margin of 99,564 votes.
The top three candidates split 86.3% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Manohar Lal got a total of 1,59,291 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Feran Lal secured 59,727 votes. Indian National Congress's candidate Brij Lal Khabri grabbed the third spot with 43,171 votes. The top three parties got 52.5%, 19.7% and 14.2% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Feran Lal outperformed Bharatiya Janata Party's Manohar Lal by 1,737 votes.
