Samajwadi Party's candidate Jaichand Alias Jairam Pandey grabbed the third spot with 37,557 votes. The top three parties got 39.2%, 19.8% and 16.9% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Laxmikant defeated Peace Party's Anil Kumar by 16,073 votes.
