Uttar Pradesh Election: Misrikh Assembly Constituency 2022

Misrikh is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Sitapur district. People of Misrikh voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 23 and the result was declared on March 10.

In 2017, the Misrikh assembly seat had 3,44,960 registered voters. Of the, 1,88,792 were male and 1,56,168 were female voters. 0.6% of votes were casted for NOTA.

What happened last time

In 2017, 8 candidates were contesting for Misrikh assembly constituency seat. Misrikh was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Ram Krishna Bhargava won the election by defeating Bahujan Samaj Party's Manish Kumar Rawat by a margin of 20,672 votes.

98.1% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Ram Krishna Bhargava grabbed a total of 86,403 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Manish Kumar Rawat got 65,731 votes. Samajwadi Party's candidate Ram Pal Rajvanshi bagged 61,231 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 39.7%, 30.2% and 28.2% respectively.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Ram Pal Rajwanshi defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Manish Kumar Rawat by 1,522 votes.
