Uttar Pradesh Election: Muhammadabad- Gohna (SC) Assembly Constituency 2022

It was an extremely close competition, with Bharatiya Janata Party's Shriram Sonkar narrowly winning the election defeating Bahujan Samaj Party's Rajendra Kumar by a vary little margin of 538 votes.

98.3% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Shriram Sonkar grabbed a total of 73,493 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Rajendra Kumar got 72,955 votes. Samajwadi Party's candidate Baijnath bagged 59,871 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 35.0%, 34.8% and 28.5% respectively.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Baijnath defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Rajendra by 3,139 votes.
