Mungra Badshahpur comes under the Jaunpur district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Mungra Badshahpur voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on March 7 and the result was declared on March 10.

Indian National Congress's candidate Ajay Shankar Dubey grabbed the third spot with 59,288 votes. The top three parties got 34.4%, 31.5% and 29.3% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Seema defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Ramesh by 6,061 votes.
