Bharatiya Janata Party's Dr.Dharam Singh Saini grabbed a total of 94,375 votes, while Indian National Congress's Imran Masood got 90,318 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Naveen Choudhary bagged 65,328 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 37.1%, 35.5% and 25.7% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Dr. Dharam Singh Saini beat Indian National Congress's Imran Masood by 4,330 votes.
