Uttar Pradesh Election: Nanpara Assembly Constituency 2022

Nanpara comes under the Bahraich district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Nanpara voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 27 and the result was declared on March 10.

Nanpara assembly constituency had 3,31,643 electors in 2017, out of which 1,76,827 were male voters and 1,54,816 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.9% votes.

What happened last time

In 2017, 9 candidates were contesting for Nanpara assembly constituency seat. Nanpara was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Madhuri Verma won the election by defeating Indian National Congress's Waris Ali by a margin of 18,669 votes.

94.5% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Madhuri Verma grabbed a total of 86,312 votes, while Indian National Congress's Waris Ali got 67,643 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Abdul Waheed bagged 25,430 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 45.4%, 35.6% and 13.4% respectively.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Madhuri Verma beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Waris Ali by 4,322 votes.
