Naraini is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Banda district. People of Naraini voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 23 and the result was declared on March 10.
Naraini assembly constituency had 3,35,778 electors in 2017, out of which 1,84,176 were male voters and 1,51,602 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 1.1% votes.
In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election, there were 13 candidates in the fray from Naraini constituency. Naraini was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Raj Karan Kabir comfortably winning the election upstaging Indian National Congress's Bharat Lal Diwakar by a huge margin of 45,007 votes.
92.1% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Raj Karan Kabir grabbed a total of 92,412 votes, while Indian National Congress's Bharat Lal Diwakar got 47,405 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Gayacharan Dinkar bagged 44,610 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 46.1%, 23.7% and 22.3% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Gayacharan Dinkar beat Samajwadi Party's Bharatlal Diwakar by 4,757 votes.
