Pathardeva is the assembly constituency which comes under the Deoria district. It is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Pathardeva will be held on March 3 and the result was declared on March 10.
Pathardeva assembly constituency had 3,17,727 electors in 2017, out of which 1,73,137 were male voters and 1,44,590 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.5% votes.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Pathardeva constituency had 14 candidates for assembly seat contention. Total 312 seats were won by the Bharatiya Janata Party, Pathardeva was one of them. The election for Pathardeva seat was comfortably won by Bharatiya Janata Party's Surya Pratap Shahi defeating Samajwadi Party's Shakir Ali by a huge margin of 42,997 votes.
94.3% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Surya Pratap Shahi grabbed a total of 99,812 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Shakir Ali got 56,815 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Neeraj bagged 22,790 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 52.5%, 29.9% and 12.0% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Shakir Ali outperformed Bharatiya Janata Party's Surya Pratap Shahi by 4,554 votes.
