Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Manoj grabbed the third spot with 51,983 votes. The top three parties got 41.1%, 28.2% and 25.6% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Ansar Ahmad beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Guru Prasad Maurya by 5,296 votes.
