Pilibhit is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Pilibhit district. People of Pilibhit voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 23 and the result was declared on March 10.
In 2017, the Pilibhit assembly seat had 3,68,509 registered voters. Of the, 1,96,764 were male and 1,71,745 were female voters. 0.5% of votes were casted for NOTA.
In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election, there were 12 candidates in the fray from Pilibhit constituency. Pilibhit was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Sanjay Singh Gangwar won the election upstaging Samajwadi Party's Riaz Ahmad by a margin of 43,356 votes.
91.8% of the total votes were casted to top two candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Sanjay Singh Gangwar got a total of 1,36,486 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Riaz Ahmad got 93,130 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Arshad Khan grabbed 14,532 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 54.6%, 37.3% and 5.8% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Riaz Ahmad defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Sanjay Singh Gangwar by 4,235 votes.
