Samajwadi Party's candidate Amrendra Nishad bagged 51,031 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 33.8%, 28.6% and 20.8% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Rajmati defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Jitendra by 35,635 votes.
