Bahujan Samaj Party's Anil Singh grabbed a total of 97,567 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Uttam Chandra Urf Rakesh Lodhi got 71,084 votes. Samajwadi Party's candidate Uday Raj bagged 68,114 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 40.3%, 29.3% and 28.1% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Uday Raj outperformed Bahujan Samaj Party's Narendra Singh Lodhi by 27,901 votes.
