96.3% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Indian National Congress's Aditi Singh grabbed a total of 1,28,319 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Mhd. Shahbaz Khan got 39,156 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate Anita Srivastava bagged 28,821 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 62.9%, 19.2% and 14.1% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Peace Party's Akhilesh Kumar Singh beat Samajwadi Party's Ram Pratap Yadav by 29,494 votes.
