Robertsganj is the assembly constituency which comes under the Sonbhadra district. It is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Robertsganj will be held on March 7 and the result was declared on March 10.
In 2017, the Robertsganj assembly seat had 3,25,187 registered voters. Of the, 1,75,823 were male and 1,49,364 were female voters. 0.4% of votes were casted for NOTA.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Robertsganj constituency had 19 candidates for assembly seat contention. Total 312 seats were won by the Bharatiya Janata Party, Robertsganj was one of them. The election for Robertsganj seat was comfortably won by Bharatiya Janata Party's Bhupesh Chaubey defeating Samajwadi Party's Avinash Kushvaha by a huge margin of 40,538 votes.
The top three candidates split 88.3% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Bhupesh Chaubey got a total of 89,932 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Avinash Kushvaha secured 49,394 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Sunil Kumar Singh Yadav grabbed the third spot with 39,336 votes. The top three parties got 44.5%, 24.4% and 19.4% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Avinash beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Ramesh Singh by 5,341 votes.
