Rudauli comes under the Barabanki district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Rudauli voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 27 and the results was declared on March 10.
In 2017, the Rudauli assembly seat had 3,36,228 registered voters. Of the, 1,81,124 were male and 1,55,104 were female voters. 0.7% of votes were casted for NOTA.
In 2017, 14 candidates were contesting for Rudauli assembly constituency seat. Rudauli was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Ram Chandra Yadav won the election by defeating Samajwadi Party's Abbas Ali Zaidi Urf Rushdi Miyan by a margin of 31,259 votes.
The top three candidates split 94.5% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Ram Chandra Yadav got a total of 90,311 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Abbas Ali Zaidi Urf Rushdi Miyan secured 59,052 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Firoz Khan Urf Gabbar grabbed the third spot with 47,257 votes. The top three parties got 43.4%, 28.4% and 22.7% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Ram Chandra Yadav outperformed Samajwadi Party's Abbas Ali Zaidi Alias #rushdi Miyan# by 941 votes.
