Sahaswan is the assembly constituency which comes under the Budaun district. It is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Sahaswan was held on February 14 and the result was declared on March 10.
In 2017, the Sahaswan assembly seat had 3,98,626 registered voters. Of the, 2,15,827 were male and 1,82,799 were female voters. 0.7% of votes were casted for NOTA.

The top three candidates split 87.6% of votes between them. Samajwadi Party's Omkar Singh got a total of 77,543 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Arshad Ali secured 73,274 votes. Rashtriya Parivartan Dal's candidate Umlesh Yadav grabbed the third spot with 57,522 votes. The top three parties got 32.6%, 30.8% and 24.2% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Omkar Singh outperformed Bahujan Samaj Party's Mir Hadi Ali Alias Babar Mian by 7,027 votes.
