Uttar Pradesh Election: Salon Assembly Constituency 2022
Salon is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Rae Bareli district. Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Salon will be held on February 27 and the result was declared on March 10.
Salon assembly constituency had 3,39,970 electors in 2017, out of which 1,81,640 were male voters and 1,58,330 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 1.0% votes.
In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election, there were 10 candidates in the fray from Salon constituency. Salon was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Dal Bahadur won the election upstaging Indian National Congress's Suresh Chaudhary by a margin of 16,055 votes.
The top three candidates split 94.9% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Dal Bahadur got a total of 78,028 votes, while Indian National Congress's Suresh Chaudhary secured 61,973 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Braj Lal Pasi grabbed the third spot with 39,851 votes. The top three parties got 41.2%, 32.7% and 21.0% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Ashakishore defeated Indian National Congress's Shiv Balak Pasi by 20,577 votes.
