Samajwadi Party's Iqbal Mehmood grabbed a total of 79,248 votes, while All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen's Ziaurrehman got 60,426 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate Dr. Arvind bagged 59,976 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 32.9%, 25.1% and 24.9% respectively.
