Sandi is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Hardoi district. People of Sandi voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 23 and the result was declared on March 10.
In 2017, the Sandi assembly seat had 3,17,359 registered voters. Of the, 1,74,481 were male and 1,42,878 were female voters. 0.7% of votes were casted for NOTA.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Sandi constituency had 14 candidates for assembly seat contention. Sandi was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Prabhash Kumar won the election by upstaging Indian National Congress's Omendra Kumar Verma by a margin of 20,225 votes.
95.1% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Prabhash Kumar grabbed a total of 72,044 votes, while Indian National Congress's Omendra Kumar Verma got 51,819 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Virendra Kumar bagged 50,725 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 39.3%, 28.2% and 27.6% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Rajeshwari defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Virendra Kumar by 6,650 votes.
