Bharatiya Janata Party's Raj Kumar Agrawal Urf Rajia got a total of 90,362 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Abdul Mannan secured 69,959 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Pawan Kumar Singh grabbed the third spot with 29,223 votes. The top three parties got 45.8%, 35.5% and 14.8% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Kunwar Mahabir Singh beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Abdul Mannan by 19,134 votes.
