Sarojini Nagar is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Lucknow district. People of Sarojini Nagar voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 23 and the result was declared on March 10.

Bharatiya Janata Party's Swati Singh won the election by upstaging Samajwadi Party's Anurag Alias Anurag Yadav by a margin of 34,179 votes.
The top three candidates split 88.1% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Swati Singh got a total of 1,08,506 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Anurag Alias Anurag Yadav secured 74,327 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Shiv Shankar Singh Alias Shankari Singh grabbed the third spot with 71,791 votes. The top three parties got 37.6%, 25.7% and 24.8% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Sharda Pratap Shukla defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Shiv Shanker Singh (Shankari Singh) by 8,365 votes.
