Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Mahendra Kumar Pandey grabbed the third spot with 35,657 votes. The top three parties got 50.5%, 26.5% and 17.4% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Surendra Singh Patel outperformed Apna Dal's Neel Ratan Patel #neelu# by 19,907 votes.
