Sikandra comes under the Kanpur Dehat district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Sikandra voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 20 and the result was declared on March 10.

Bharatiya Janata Party's Mathura Prasad Pal got a total of 87,879 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Mahendra Katiyar (BABLU) secured 49,776 votes. Samajwadi Party's candidate Seema Sachan grabbed the third spot with 42,010 votes. The top three parties got 45.7%, 25.9% and 21.8% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Indrapal Singh outperformed Bharatiya Janata Party's Devendra Singh Bhole by 2,189 votes.
