Uttar Pradesh Election: Sirsaganj Assembly Constituency 2022

Sirsaganj is the assembly constituency which comes under the Firozabad district. It is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Sirsaganj was held on February 20 and the result was declared on March 10.

In 2017, the Sirsaganj assembly seat had 3,05,941 registered voters. Of the, 1,67,665 were male and 1,38,276 were female voters. 0.5% of votes were casted for NOTA.

What happened last time

In 2017, 10 candidates were contesting for Sirsaganj assembly constituency seat. Sirsaganj was one of 47 seats won by the Samajwadi Party. Samajwadi Party's Hariom Yadav won the election by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Jaiveer Singh by a margin of 10,676 votes.

The top three candidates split 94.7% of votes between them. Samajwadi Party's Hariom Yadav got a total of 90,281 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Jaiveer Singh secured 79,605 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Raghvendra Singh grabbed the third spot with 20,920 votes. The top three parties got 44.8%, 39.5% and 10.4% respectively.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Hariom beat Bahujan Samaj Party's E. Atul Pratap Singh by 40,015 votes.
