Uttar Pradesh Election: Siswa Assembly Constituency 2022
Siswa is the assembly constituency which comes under the Maharajganj district. It is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Siswa was held on March 3 and the results was declared on March 10.
Siswa assembly constituency had 3,66,100 electors in 2017, out of which 1,97,300 were male voters and 1,68,800 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.7% votes.
In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election, there were 11 candidates in the fray from Siswa constituency. Siswa was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Premsagar Patel comfortably winning the election upstaging Samajwadi Party's Shivendra Singh Alias Shivbabu by a huge margin of 68,186 votes.
94.5% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Premsagar Patel grabbed a total of 1,22,884 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Shivendra Singh Alias Shivbabu got 54,698 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Raghvendra Pratap Alias Ankit Singh bagged 46,185 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 51.9%, 23.1% and 19.5% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Shivendra Singh Alias Shiv Babu defeated Bharatiya Janata Party's Dr. Ramapati Ram Tripathi by 16,842 votes.
