91.4% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Apna Dal (Soneylal)'s Jamuna Prasad grabbed a total of 77,814 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Geeta Devi got 60,079 votes. Samajwadi Party's candidate Satyaveer bagged 54,345 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 37.0%, 28.6% and 25.9% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Satyaveer Munna outperformed Bahujan Samaj Party's Babu Lal #bhawara# by 13,301 votes.
