97.7% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Manju Tyagi grabbed a total of 1,12,941 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Meera Bano got 58,002 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Praveen Kumar bagged 44,757 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 51.2%, 26.3% and 20.3% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Ramsaran defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Sripal Bhargva by 31,878 votes.
