Sri Nagar is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Kheri district. Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Sri Nagar will be held on February 23 and the result was declared on March 10.
Sri Nagar assembly constituency had 3,07,957 electors in 2017, out of which 1,65,509 were male voters and 1,42,448 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.7% votes.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Sri Nagar constituency had 6 candidates for assembly seat contention. Total 312 seats were won by the Bharatiya Janata Party, Sri Nagar was one of them. The election for Sri Nagar seat was comfortably won by Bharatiya Janata Party's Manju Tyagi defeating Samajwadi Party's Meera Bano by a huge margin of 54,939 votes.
97.7% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Manju Tyagi grabbed a total of 1,12,941 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Meera Bano got 58,002 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Praveen Kumar bagged 44,757 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 51.2%, 26.3% and 20.3% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Ramsaran defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Sripal Bhargva by 31,878 votes.
