Uttar Pradesh Election: Unnao Assembly Constituency 2022

Unnao is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Unnao district. Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Unnao will be held on February 23 and the result was declared on March 10.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2017, there were 3,82,526 registered voters for Unnao assembly seat, out of which 2,10,852 were male and 1,71,674 were female voters. 0.5% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.

What happened last time

In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Unnao constituency had 13 candidates for assembly seat contention. Total 312 seats were won by the Bharatiya Janata Party, Unnao was one of them. The election for Unnao seat was comfortably won by Bharatiya Janata Party's Pankaj Gupta defeating Samajwadi Party's Manisha Deepak by a huge margin of 46,072 votes.

95.8% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Pankaj Gupta grabbed a total of 1,19,669 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Manisha Deepak got 73,597 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Pankaj Tripathi bagged 26,739 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 52.1%, 32.1% and 11.6% respectively.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Deepak Kumar outperformed Bharatiya Janata Party's Pankaj Gupta by 11,748 votes.
