Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Parvez Ahmad Alias Parvez Umar bagged 44,799 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 43.4%, 28.5% and 22.8% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Arif Anwar Hashmi defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Dhirendra Pratap Singh by 1,005 votes.
