Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Sujeet Kumar Maurya grabbed the third spot with 32,574 votes. The top three parties got 51.2%, 31.1% and 14.4% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Ravindra Jaiswal beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Sujit Kumar Maurya by 2,336 votes.
