Champawat is the assembly constituency which comes under the Champawat district. It is one of the 70 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttarakhand Assembly Election 2022 for Champawat was held on February 14 and the results was declared on March 10.
In 2017, the Champawat assembly seat had 88,533 registered voters. Of the, 46,582 were male and 41,951 were female voters. 1.2% of votes were casted for NOTA.

Bharatiya Janata Party's Kailash Chandra Gahtori got a total of 36,601 votes, while Indian National Congress's Hemesh Kharkwal secured 19,241 votes. Uttarakhand Kranti Dal's candidate Trilok Chand Sorari secured 939 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 63.4%, 33.3% and 1.6% respectively.
