Sitarganj is the assembly constituency which comes under the Udham Singh Nagar district. It is one of the 70 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttarakhand Assembly Election 2022 for Sitarganj was held on February 14 and the results was declared on March 10.
In 2017, the Sitarganj assembly seat had 1,07,295 registered voters. Of the, 57,293 were male and 50,002 were female voters. 0.5% of votes were casted for NOTA.
In the 2017 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Election, there were 10 candidates in the fray from Sitarganj constituency. Sitarganj was one of 57 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Saurabh Bahuguna comfortably winning the election upstaging Indian National Congress's Malti Biswas by a huge margin of 28,450 votes.
The top three candidates split 97.4% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Saurabh Bahuguna got a total of 50,597 votes, while Indian National Congress's Malti Biswas secured 22,147 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Navtej Pal Singh grabbed the third spot with 11,892 votes. The top three parties got 58.2%, 25.5% and 13.7% respectively.
In Uttarakhand Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Kiran Chand Mandal beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Narayan Pal by 12,612 votes.
