Kusha Kapila's mom admits daughter's divorce made her own social life take a backseat: ‘Was a little shaky…’

Actor and content creator Kusha Kapila and Zorawar Ahluwalia got divorced last year, following which she received a lot of online hate.

Kusha Kapila may have divorced Zorawar Ahluwalia last year, but the shadow of that separation continues to chase not only her, but also her family. On We Are Yuvaa's Be A Parent Yaar chat, Kusha's mother Rita Kapila admitted that her daughter's divorce impacted her social life as well. (Also Read: Blocked! What Rita said

“When this incident happened and when I used to visit the temple, I started going a bit earlier than usual, so that no one spots me or asks anything. Then, your father once said, ‘Tu kyu darrti hai? Koi kuch nahi poochega terse’ (Why are you scared? No one will ask you anything)’. However, one aunty asked something related to this at the temple one day. I was a little shaky during my way home and started crying," recalled Rita.

“Your dad sat and explained to me that it is not a big deal, it is life. ‘Ups and downs will keep coming, you don’t need to feel so much’. He called all my relatives and told them that no one should bother me about this. Then, no one asked me anything ever again. Unn aunty ko bhi kisi ne jaake boldiya, ‘Aap mandir mai yeh sab baatein karne jaate ho?’ (Someone even mocked that aunty for creating gossip at the temple) She even apologised to me after that," Rita added, prompting Kusha to laugh out loud.

Kusha on her divorce

Kusha expressed her concern that her divorce would impact her mother's social life. She urged Rita to not fall prey to that. However, Kusha also pointed out, teary-eyed, that the last two years have made her much stronger. Her mother consoled Kusha that the divorce and its aftermath were “tough” but it's okay. Initially, Kusha was labelled as a “gold-digger” and a “cheater,” but as her mother pointed out, the rumours died down. The only chatter around Kusha now is about her professional front.

Kusha, who rose to popularity as a content creator and social media influencer, is now also an actor. She was last seen in the film Ishq Vishk Rebound and the show Life Hill Gayi.
