Minissha reacts to silicon impant reports
'I have no idea how people can imagine such things. We're all human beings and one should be sensitive to people. It was a silly story which had no base,' she said. Read on for this and more.
After burning her hands with films like Kidnap and Bachana Aye Haseeno, Minissha Lamba, the Miranda House alumunus, is basking in critical acclaim she received for Well Done Abba. Coming up next is Bheja Fry sequel in which she'll work with Vinay Pathak and Rajat Kapoor. Parmita Uniyal catches up with the actress on phone.
There was a buzz that you had a reverse surgery (removal of silicon implants). How true were the rumours?
It's rubbish. I have no idea how people can imagine such things. We're all human beings and one should be sensitive to people. It was a silly story which had no base.
You have signed Bheja Fry sequel? What's unique in the film this time around?
It's a great project. I'm extrememly happy to be part of it. But I can't discuss much about it at this stage.
We've heard Vinay Pathak has opted out of the film. Comment.
As of now, I have no information regarding this. We are yet to start the shooting of the movie.
Your bikini makeover didn't set the box-office sizzling? Do you want to get back to your girl-next-door image? What kind of films are you keen on signing now?
I honestly believe that you should sign films you believe in. I exactly did that.
And even if the movies failed at the box-office, there are absolutely no regrets.
I don't make a conscious decision to do a certain kind of film.
How was it working with Shyam Benegal in Well Done Abba? Tell us about your learning experience with the ace filmmaker. And also your experience of working with Boman Irani.
Shyam Benegal is an institution in himself. He's someone who's a combination of all what we have learnt till now. When I signed Well Done Abba, I wished I could do justice to my role. Now that I have received rave reviews for my performance, it feels very nice.
We've heard that you are also working on a movie series called Mysticism. It has reportedly eight version to be directed by different filmmakers. Tell us more about the project.
I don't know how these reported emerged. I'm not doing it.
You’ve studied in Miranda House, how was that experience? How important would you say is going to college in shaping one’s personality?
I think going to college is very important. In school everything is regimented. It's not the case in college, where you get sufficient freedom to explore things that shapes up personality. My professors at Miranda House were very much interested in our personal growth and not just studies, which helped us. They made us think about issues around us.
Can you tell us a bit about your beauty regimen? Products that you swear by and diet that you follow.
I am in favour of basic diet. I eat every two hours. I completely avoid fried food and food that's heavy. I take simple carbs. I'm more of a skin person. I'm very conscious about my skin care.
