Tara Sharma, the pretty mother-to-be, is in her eighth month of pregnancy and is keeping herself busy with fitness schedule amidst all the preparations for the impending mommyhood. She's "excited" and all the more happy as immediately after playing a mother in her upcoming film Suno Na, she is all set to take on the role in real life. On the occasion of Mother's Day, the actress shares her state of mind in a telephonic interview with Parmita Uniyal.
How special is this film to you since your real self and your reel character have this mom element in common?
It's a wonderful feeling. It's actually ironic that I completed this film last year and after that I got this news of pregnancy.
You play a single mother in Suno Na? Do you think society is unfair to single moms?
To become a single mother always comes with a 'controversial' tag. I am open-minded about it as I feel nobody chooses to become one. So, it's unfair to pass a judgement. But having said that, it's always nice to have a loving and caring husband who takes care of you.
Your unborn child speaks to you in the film? Do you feel telepathy with your own unborn child?
I definitely have an amazing relationship with my unborn child. The baby seems to be very active like me since I can feel a lot of movement (laughs). Amy Thanawala's (director of Suno Na) research helped me a lot in understanding the baby cues.
What's your fitness routine these days?
I have always been very much into sports. And I already had a fitness schedule in place. My gynaecologist suggested that I should continue with the same albeit with few changes.
Your tips for the would-be-mothers?
During pregnancy, everybody is keen on giving loads of advice on everything, but one must follow the fitness scehdule that suits the body.
How do you want your child to grow up?
Every mother wants her child to be healthy. I want the same. And at the same time, I want to impart the best values. Apart from that, it's too early to say anything.
Will there be any shift in your priorities post motherhood?
Responibility will definitely increase and priorities will also change a bit. But I enjoy to work and I am sure me and my husband Roopak will be able to maintain a balance in our personal and professional life.
