Resident commissioner takes stock of Haryana day preparations
In order to ensure that the district administration’s preparations for the inaugural event of Haryana Golden Jubilee celebrations are on the right track, principal resident commissioner of Haryana in Delhi, Anand Mohan Saran, held a meeting of district officials in Mini-Secretariat, Gurgaon on Sunday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest for the inaugural event to be held at the Tau Devi Lal stadium on November 1.
The state has planned a year-long celebration to mark the golden jubilee.
As per the plan discussed in the meeting, PM Modi will address the audience in the football ground at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, and arrangements will be made to accommodate the audience in the neighbouring cricket stadium too. Large screens will be installed at Ch Surender Singh cricket stadium so that people can watch the event live.
In order to accommodate guests and large number of dignitaries at the venue, three categories of seating arrangements -- Platinum, Gold and Silver-- have been identified. Guests will be given cards as per these categories.
Free shuttle buses will ply frequently so that people can commute from parking areas to the venue. It was also informed that LED screens would also arranged at the parking sites. Arrangements will also be made to serve food and drinks to drivers, security and support staff.
During the meeting, Saran asked officials to take the preparations seriously as chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar will be holding two or three review meeting before the event. He also asked officials to remain alert in the run up to the event.
He also briefed officials about their duties and asked them to ensure that all staff carried their duty pass for the event. In order to get the duty passes, the employees will have to submit a list of names, photographs and identity cards to the city magistrate. The official in charge of the preparations for the November 1 programme is additional deputy commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh and additional commissioner of MCG Amit Khatri.
Gurgaon divisional commissioner D Suresh, and deputy commissioner TL Satyaprakash attended the meeting along with other officials.
After the meeting, Saran also visited Tau Devi Lal stadium to inspect the work being done at the venue.
