‘I’d love to work with Shashi Kapoor’
Filmmaker Fisher Steven says that he is fascinated by India and may do a Hindi film
American filmmaker Fisher Steven says he would love to do a Bollywood film if given a chance. “I would love to do a film with Shashi Kapoor. He has done some fantastic films and I would really be honoured to work with him”, Fisher said while speaking to us during The Jodhpur One World Retreat. The 49-year-old further dreams of making a Bollywood film. “If given a chance I would love to make a half Bollywood and a half Hollywood film. I would use elements from Bollywood like song and dance and use other elements from Hollywood to make a blockbuster”, Fisher added.
When quizzed about his IQ on Bollywood stars, the Academy award winning director of the documentary, The Cove said he knows a lot of them by faces but doesn’t remember many names. "I have seen old Bollywood films like Mr. India and Khudgarz. I don’t remember many names. I like Aishwarya Rai’s work and her husband Abhishek Bachchan is a brilliant actor himself", said Fisher. “This is my second visit here. For the film (Shot Circuit made in 1986) I came here to learn Gujrati and Hindi. Although I am terrible at both now the only sentence I can say is Aap kaise hain", he added.
