5 schoolkids among 9 dead in Kerala crash

Police said the accident took place, when the tourist bus was driving at 97 km per hour and hit the rear end of the state-run bus while attempting to overtake a car along the Walayar-Vadakkancherry road. The deceased include five students, a teacher and three KSRTC passengers.

Jammu: Cops yet to file charge sheet in deaths caused from spurious cough syrup

The J&K police have, however, assured that a charge sheet in the case would be filed in the next “10 to 15” days. “Within next 10 to 15 days, the charge sheet will be filed. It is in the final stages,” said Udhampur SSP Vinod Kumar.

Iranian dhow carrying 200 kg heroin seized off Kochi coast

An NCB official said six occupants of the dhow were arrested and four of them were from Iran and identity of two was not yet established. He said the seized boat was towed to Kochi coast on Thursday and occupants were questioned for more details and the operation was based on a tip off from international agencies.

Jharkhand:2 cops arrested for raping woman
