Key assembly seats going for polls:

Over 50 per cent voter turnout registered till 3 pm in Bengal bypolls
A voter turnout of 50.43 per cent was recorded till 3 pm on Wednesday in the bypolls to four assembly constituencies in West Bengal, an Election Commission official said.
Among the constituencies, Raiganj registered the highest turnout of 53.89 per cent followed by Ranaghat Dakshin (SC) 52.41 per cent, Bagdah (SC) 50.81 per cent and Maniktala at 43.78 per cent.
Sporadic incidents of violence were reported from Bagdah and Ranaghat Dakshin as the BJP accused TMC activists of assaulting its booth agents and stopping its candidates from visiting some polling stations.

Bypolls LIVE Updates: 42 pc voter turnout till 3 pm in Rupauli assembly bypoll in Bihar
By 3 pm on Wednesday, more than 42% of the over three lakh voters had cast their ballots in the bypoll for the Rupauli assembly seat in Bihar, according to an official.
Voting began at 7 am and will continue until 6 pm.
This bypoll was needed because the sitting MLA, Bima Bharti, resigned. She had won the seat for JD(U) several times but left the party to run for the Lok Sabha elections as an RJD candidate. After losing the parliamentary election, she is now running in the bypoll as an RJD candidate.
Vikravandi bypoll: 50.95% turnout by 1 pm
Voters turned out in large numbers for the bypoll to the Vikravandi assembly constituency in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday. By 1 pm, the Election Commission reported a 50.95% voter turnout. Polling started at 7 am, and by 9 am, 12.94% of voters had already cast their votes. This bypoll was needed because DMK legislator N Pughazhendhi passed away due to illness on April 6.
In Vikravandi, it's a three-way race with DMK's Anniyur Siva (also known as Sivashanmugam A) competing against PMK's C Anbumani and Naam Tamilar Katchi's K Abinaya. There are 29 candidates in total. Votes will be counted on July 13. Security is tight at polling stations, where 2.37 lakh voters, including 1.16 lakh men and 1.20 lakh women, will cast their ballots. The AIADMK and its ally DMDK are boycotting the election.
Himachal Pradesh assembly bypolls: About 48% polling recorded till 1 pm
A voter turnout of about 48 per cent was recorded till 1 pm on Wednesday in the bypolls in three assembly constituencies of Himachal Pradesh.
The Nalagarh assembly constituency recorded the highest polling of 51.59 per cent, followed by Hamirpur (47.05 per cent) and Dehra (46.47 per cent), according data till 1 pm shared by the state election department .
The seats fell vacant after Independent legislators Hoshiyar Singh (Dehra), Ashish Sharma (Hamirpur) and K L Thakur (Nalagarh), who had voted in favour of the BJP in the Rajya Sabha polls held on February 27, resigned from the state assembly on March 22 and joined the party the next day.
Their resignations, however, were accepted by the speaker on June 3. Their seats were declared vacant, necessitating the bypolls.
