“These 300-400 fake voters have been brought from Loni in Uttar Pradesh, I feel like they are Bangladeshis, there are both men and women. We caught 25 people, there is fake voting happening here, and we have stopped it. Kejriwal is doing bogus voting,” he added.

Delhi Assembly Election 2025 LIVE: A voter turnout of 46.55 per cent was recorded till 3 pm on Wednesday in Delhi, where polling is underway for its 70 assembly constituencies.

On AAP MP Sanjay Singh’s statement, NDMC member Anil Valmiki said, “Sanjay Singh's statement is purely political because he knows his party is losing in Delhi.”

The District Election Office (DEO) North Delhi has dismissed allegations of voter coercion at the Sainik Vihar polling station in Shakur Basti, following claims that a police officer forced a voter to support a particular political party, ANI reported.

Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha on Wednesday alleged that the security personnel deployed outside the polling stations are not permitting the relievers to go inside the polling booth, ANI reported.

Chadha claimed that they have received several such complaints in almost half the booths in the New Delhi assembly constituency as the national capital held polls for its eighth Assembly.

Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan on Wednesday cast his vote at a polling booth located in Delhi's Kushaq Lane.

'The casting of one's vote is not only exercising of one's democratic right but also the moral responsibility of the citizens of the country. I would request the citizens to come forward and exercise their franchise," he said.

Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora visited the polling booth set up in Jose Martin school in Delhi's South West district on Wednesday.

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale was confident that voter turnout in Delhi would improve by the end of the day, adding that the BJP should win the assembly elections.

“The voting is underway in Delhi. The percentage will further increase. The people are against the AAP and Arvind Kejriwal. They have cheated the people, which is why the AAP has to be removed and the BJP should come to power,” he added.

AAP and BJP exchanged sharp accusations on Wednesday, with AAP claiming BJP was distributing money near polling booths while Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva alleged AAP was enabling fake voting in the national capital. READ MORE

Delhi Election 2025 LIVE: The Delhi police are attempting to maintain peace and disperse crowds after chaos erupted due to allegations made by the BJP that AAP had facilitated fake votes in a Seelampur polling station.

Delhi Election 2025 LIVE: In a post on X, AAP MP Sanjay Singh addressed Union home minister Amit Shah and questioned why leaders of the Valmiki community were being detained on polling day.

“Another leader of Valmiki community, Harish ji, has been arrested by the police at South Avenue police station. Information has been received that people of Valmiki community have been deliberately arrested all over Delhi. @AmitShah What is your enmity with the Valmiki community?” he wrote in his post.

He added, “How many people from this community have you arrested so far? Valmiki community will take revenge of the insult with the power of their vote.”
