Twitter prays for Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa’s well-being after she suffered from a cardiac arrest.

Twitter was flooded with prayers for a quick recovery of Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa, who was admitted to Chennai’s Apollo Hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest on Sunday evening.

Large crowds gathered outside the hospital as news sparked fears about her health condition.

Last seen publicly in September, the actor-turned-politician has a cult status among her followers and is popularly known as the ‘people’s leader.’

Fans and followers, including celebrities, sport stars and politicians, used Twitter to express concerns about her heath and wish her a speedy recovery.

Given the widespread rumours about the CM’s health, the Indian chess grandmaster and former world chess champion Vishwanathan Anand requested people to be responsible and not spread rumours about the news.

In a series of tweets, they said that a UK consultant was flown down earlier to supervise the 68-year-old’s treatment as well.
