Early exit polls predicted a comfortable majority for the BJP-led NDA, with the ruling alliance projected to sweep Karnataka.

Karnataka Exit Poll 2024 Live: According to Jan ki Baat exit poll, NDA is projected to win 21 to 23 seats out of the total 28, while the Congress is predicted to win 7 to 5 seats.

According to TV9 Bharatvarsh-Polstrat exit poll, NDA is projected to win 20 seats in Karnataka - out of the total 28 seats. Congress is projected to win eight seats.

According to the Axis My India exit poll, BJP is projected to win 23 to 25 seats out of the total 28 seats in Karnataka, while the Congress is likely to get three to five seats.

In 2019, the BJP swept 25 seats out of 28 in Karnataka, defeating the Congress and JD(S), which were in alliance and ruling the state then.

The key constituencies in Karnataka for the Lok Sabha election include Bangalore South, Bangalore North, Haveri, Dharwad, Mysore, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Central, and Belgaum.

Congress on Saturday reversed its decision to not participate in the exit poll debates, party spokesperson Pawan Khera said.

“INDIA parties met and decided to expose the bjp and its ecosystem on the prefixed exit polls. After considering factors for and against participating in the exit polls, it has been decided by consensus that all the INDIA parties will participate in the exit poll debates on television this evening,” he wrote in a post on X.

An exit poll is a post-election survey and is similar to an opinion poll, which is a pre-election survey. In an exit poll, electors are asked who they voted for, after exiting the polling station. In the latter exercise, on the other hand, people are asked who they intend to vote for.

The exit polls will begin at 6:30 pm, shortly after the last phase of polling concludes. The most prominent exit polls in India are usually conducted by Chanakya, CVoter, and MyAxis India, among others, and shown on TV channels including ABP Network, Times Now, India Today, Aaj Tak, Zee News, TV9 Bharatvarsh and others.

The exit poll results will be out today by 6:30 pm - which will give an early indication of the likely outcomes of the Lok Sabha election. The main fight in the southern state is between the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA).

The voting for the Lok Sabha election in Karnataka was held in two phases across 28 constituencies on April 26 and May 7.
