Lok Sabha election 2024 LIVE: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Tejasvi Surya launched a fierce attack on the Congress government in Karnataka, alleging that it is adopting the political culture of the DMK, the ruling party of the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu, which he accused of being "anti-Hindu and anti-majoritarian." 
In an interview with news agency ANI, the BJP leader said, "When you look at the kind of politics that the DMK has been practicing, it represents everything that is negative and wrong about the country's political system. It clearly looks like the Congress party in Karnataka is getting inspired by certain SOPs that the DMK follows in Tamil Nadu."

 "The first phase of voting is on 19th April and tomorrow is the last day of campaigning... People all over the country want change. People are putting their trust in Congress and the INDIA alliance... Congress will win more seats than BJP... People understand that the BJP used electoral bonds to receive charity. Congress accounts were liquidated only after the interference of the Supreme Court. We demand a level playing field...," said Pilot as quoted by news agency ANI.

Lok Sabha election 2024 LIVE: The AAP has named Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, who is behind bars in a money laundering case, and his wife Sunita Kejriwal as star campaigners for the Lok Sabha polls in Gujarat, reported news agency PTI. 

The names of senior AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, both of whom are also in jail, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, and Rajya Sabha MPs Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha and Sandeep Pathak are also on the list of 40 star campaigners that has been submitted by the party to the Election Commission.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath  claimed that opposition leaders read the 'fatiha' for dead criminals but don't condole the death of Hindus.

"They glorify mafias and criminals and go to their homes and read the fatiha," Adityanath said, referring to prayers offered by Muslims for the dead. "But if an innocent Hindu becomes a victim of an accident, not a single word of condolence comes out of their mouth," he said.

Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said an "insignificant" number of people attended Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's roadshow and watching rhinos at the Kaziranga National Park would be "more beneficial".

 A dedicated freight corridor between Chennai, Kovai and Thoothukudi shall be established.
