Narendra Modi Cabinet Live: Jyotiraditya Scindia took charge as Minister of Communications on Tuesday, a portfolio previously handled by Ashwini Vaishnaw.

In the previous Narendra Modi government, Scindia managed the Ministry of Civil Aviation, which is now allotted to NDA ally TDP's MP, Ram Mohan Naidu.

In the recent general elections, Rijiju secured his fourth term representing the Arunachal West Lok Sabha seat. He was responsible for the Earth Sciences Ministry in the previous Modi government.

Narendra Modi 3.0 Cabinet Live: In a jibe, following the announcement of the new cabinet ministers in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi raised apprehensions at BJP over the ‘treatment of coalition partners’, stating that they would be viewed as ‘second-class citizens’ within the government.

“Portfolio allocation shows that @narendramodi does not intend to respect his coalition partners. Both @Jduonline and @JaiTDP should be ready to be treated as second-class citizens in this government,” Atishi wrote in a social media post on X.

Narendra Modi 3.0 Cabinet Live: On Monday, the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena expressed its “disappointment” with the allocation of cabinet positions in the new Modi government citing what they see as “partiality” in the distribution of ministerial roles within the ruling coalition, news agency PTI reported.

This statement comes after the NCP, led by Ajit Pawar, announced that it would seek a Cabinet position rather than accept the BJP's offer of a Minister of State role.

Shiv Sena's leader in Lok Sabha, Shrikant Shinde, reiterated the party's steadfast support for the BJP-led NDA without engaging in power negotiations.

Prataprao Jadhav of Shinde Sena was the lone representative from the party in the new Modi government, having taken the oath as a Minister of State with independent charge on Sunday. He has been assigned the AYUSH ministry and the MOS Health portfolio.

Narendra Modi 3.0 Cabinet Live: On Monday, Annapurna Devi, a BJP MP from Jharkhand, was appointed as the Union Cabinet Minister for Women and Child Development, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed portfolios to his Union Council of Ministers.

She takes over from Smriti Irani, who previously held the position.

At 55 years old, Devi, elected from the Koderma Lok Sabha constituency in Jharkhand, previously served as the Union Minister of State for Education in the Modi government since 2021.

Narendra Modi 3.0 Cabinet Live: C R Patil, a BJP leader, has been appointed to head the Jal Shakti Ministry. The Minister of State position within the Ministry of Jal Shakti is jointly held by BJP members V Somanna and Raj Bhushan Choudhary.

C R Patil served as the Housing Minister in the previous BJP government in Karnataka. He contested the 2023 Assembly polls from Varuna, Siddaramaiah's home constituency, and also in Chamarajanagar against C Puttarangashetty, albeit unsuccessfully.
