Parliament Budget Session 2023: Similar to the first leg of Union Budget 2023 session, the other half is also plagued by numerous delays.

'The Finance Bill, 2023 ' tabled by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Lok Sabha was passed amid sloganeering by Opposition MPs demanding a JPC inquiry into the Adani Group issue. Lok Sabha proceedings resumed on Friday after it was adjourned till 12 noon following noisy protests by Congress MPs who demanded that Rahul Gandhi should be given opportunity to speak and clarify his stand on his “democracy is under attack” remark in London.

Rahul Gandhi attended the meeting of Congress MPs at the party office in the Parliament premises ahead of the proceedings, a day after the Wayanad MP was convicted by a Surat case in a 2019 defamation case.
