Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the newly-elected Congress MP from Kerala's Wayanad, delivered her maiden speech on Friday, and attacked the government and the ruling BJP over a range of issues. Vadra, the sister of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and daughter of Rajya Sabha MP Sonia Gandhi, registered a huge win from Wayanad in her first election, which she contested after her brother vacated the seat and chose to retain Rae Bareli. He won both the seats in Lok Sabha elections this year.

Meanwhile, the speakers from the ruling side included Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, among others.

The Winter Session of Parliament commenced on November and is scheduled to conclude on December 20.

The eleven resolutions are

  1. Everyone should fulfil their duties, be it the government or citizens.
  2. Inclusive growth to ensure the vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”.
  3. Zero tolerance towards corruption.
  4. Citizens should take pride in the country's culture and traditions, and laws should be followed with pride.
  5. To free oneself from the colonial mindset.
  6. To free the country's politics from "family rule".
  7. Respect the Constitution and prevent its misuse for personal gains.
  8. Ensure reservations are not snatched away from those who already have it, and avoid religion-based reservations.
  9. India should lead by example for women-led growth.
  10. States ensure India's development. Ensure the country's development goes hand-in-hand with the development of states.
  11. Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat as our goal.
