The total number of deaths due to related events rose to three in Delhi after a 62-year-old man died in a building collapse in North Delhi's Sabzi Mandi area.
Meanwhile, three people in Jaipur drowned after rainwater rushed into their house basement in Vishwakarma area of Jaipur city. The victims include a man, a woman and his niece who was a minor, reported news agency PTI. The bodies of the victims were recovered after hours of rescue operations. The victims were identified as Kamal, his niece Purvi and Pooja.
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert predicting heavy to very heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in isolated places for all Himachal Pradesh districts for Thursday.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday assured of providing central assistance and the support of the National Disaster Response Force to Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu after the state was affected by cloud burst incidents claiming the lives of three people and 40 people reported missing, according to PTI.

More than 10 people lost their lives in Uttarakhand due to landslides said Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami addressing the reporters on Thursday. He added, “Roads have been damaged, and bridges have collapsed. Restoration work is going on. Char Dham Yatra is also underway so we are trying to make urgent arrangements for the safety of pilgrims.”
In Uttarakhand, red alert has been issued in Dehradun, Teri Garhwal, Haridwar, Pauri Garhwal, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar and Champawat districts by the Regional Met office with heavy to very heavy rainfall likely in the region accompanied by thunderstorm. A yellow alert has been issued in the rest of the districts by the IMD. The state is set to receive heavy rain till August 3.
