Elaborating on his remark, Yogi Adityanath said that the Congress promised in its election manifesto they would implement personal laws, which means Sharia law.

He said the Muslim law will be implemented because Prime Minister Narendra Modi stopped the practice of triple talaq.

"They say that we will again restore personal law. These people will implement Sharia law...," he added.

He also repeated PM Modi's remark that the party has promised to snatch away people's property and distribute it. "Do you want to allow the Congress and Samajwadi Party to loot your property?" he added.
