A week before murder, Sheena had planned a trip with Indrani
A week before Sheena Bora was killed allegedly by her mother and INX Media cofounder Indrani Mukerjea, she had asked Indrani to plan a weekend trip to Nagpur, so she could spend some time with her, show the email exchanges between the duo, included in the CBI charge sheet, which has been accessed by HT.

Sheena had, in her last mail to Indrani dated April 19, 2012, asked if they can go on a trip to Nagpur. “Can we do the Nagpur trip during 30th April-1st May? 1st May is a holiday and I can take the day off on Monday,” read the mail.
The mail chain started with an email sent by Sheena on March 9, 2012, where she regretted the fact that their relationship had soured. “Over the past few years, lots of things happened. Lots of thinking and revelation which made me realise that most of the reasons for which I have been upset with you while growing up are not true. I feel bad because I never heard you out, not that it matters to you much. But still I feel I should not have rejected whatever you had to say without even considering it,” read her mail to Indrani, written on March 9, 2012.
The charge sheet alleged the series of emails and replies by Indrani to Sheena was part of the strategy to win Sheena’s confidence, so she could execute the plan to eliminate Sheena without getting her suspicious.
Replying to Sheena’s email, Indrani said she had been waiting for her to contact her. “I am always there for you and always will be. I have always loved you and will continue to love you no matter how angry we are with each other. You have a good weekend,” stated the email.
After this, the two exchanged several emails discussing Vidhie, Sheena’s job, Sheena’s attempts to apply for further studies and her plans. In her email dated March 17, 2012, Indrani asked Sheena to plan a holiday together. “I might be travelling to India sometime in the next couple of months, although nothing concrete as yet, but we must try and do a little holiday somewhere, just the two of us, it will be really nice,” read Indrani’s mail to Sheena, dated March 17, 2012.
The two later shared several emails and also allegedly met when Indrani visited India on April 7, 2012.
